I've noticed in channel that now and again, a discussion of books crops up. People mention the books they like, books they think they'd like to read, and generally swap author and title names like no tomorrow. This is always fun, except that it goes by so fast that it's difficult to keep track.
This is where this thread comes in. If you have a book (or some books, even) that you feel are thought-provoking, enlightening, or mind-expanding, post them here. It might be a good idea to post a bit of information about why you recommend the book(s) and what you learned. Links to amazon, wikipedia, or author pages would be welcome.
They can be fiction or nonfiction, the important part is that we get to share our love of reading and learning, and there's one list to go through instead of having to poke through pages of threads about individual books.
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
